Information
Fua Mulaku, or Fuamulaku,
is a solitary island in the Equatorial Channel. The island is extremely
fertile, which is quite unusual in the Maldives. Fruits and vegetables that
don't grow elsewhere in the country, such as mangoes, oranges and pineapples
as grown there. It is said that the menu of fresh fruits and vegetables
causes the people on Fua Mulaku to be healthier and bigger than their
counterparts
elsewhere in the Maldives.
